Using Avaya Telephone Features
Call Vectoring

The Call Vectoring feature is an enhanced and highly flexible way of processing incoming calls to the switch.

  1. Vectors are the basis of the Call Vectoring feature. It gives an alias to extensions, trunks or lines to add attributes or features that facilitate handling calls and routing within the switch.
  2. Provides the ability to tailor call handling i.e.: used in conjunction with ACDs

(Automatic Call Distribution) Groups. Can automatically direct inward/outside trunk(s) calls such as WATS, FTS, etc. to specific station line(s) for direct department calling functions.

  1. Eliminates the need to have the 1-800 or WATS actually appear on a button or be connected to a dedicated instrument.
  2. Allows 1-800 or WATS to be transferred.

On Single line phones: FLASH, RECALL, TAP, & R all indicate the same button. Any single line set without this button will have to use the Switchhook button instead.
