Instructions for Telecommunications Order Forms

Set and Jack Definitions

  1. W2500 = Single line wall set. Single line wall sets do not have either a message waiting light or a recall button. A Special audible interrupted dial tone will be given so the user will know a message is waiting and he switch hook is used for features requiring the use of a recall button.
  2. D2500 = Single line desk set. The desk sets include a message waiting light an a recall button. This telephone is used by the majority of users on campus.
  3. D6416 = Digital Desk set with IP connection.
  4. D6424 = Digital Desk which replaces the D7434 and D8434.
  5. D7434 = Digital Desk Set. This set is first digital console with display for our campus and is now being replaced by the D8434.
  6. D8410 = Small Digital Desk Set. This set offers the 10 line/programmable buttons for a variety of features and a digital display. Most appropriate for users who are not in traditional reception areas but need the additional features and lines.
  7. D8434 = Digital Desk Set. This set offers 10 line buttons and 24 additional programmable buttons as well as the digital display. It is most appropriate for traditional reception areas.
  8. EB = External Bell. The external bell can have its own primary number or can be bridged from a single line set to help users hear his/her telephone.
  9. EL = External Light. An external light which indicates when a phone line is busy or when the line is ringing (for the Hearing Disabled).
  10. JDV = Jack (data/voice). Data/voice jacks which are installed without a phone and are ordered for fax machines, modems, etc.
  11. VIDEO = Digital Video Jack. These jacks are installed in pairs to be used for video conferencing
